In Sur, a district of the predominantly Kurdish Diyarbakır Province, Turkish special operations teams conducted a four-day long operation last week, during which a 24-hour curfew was put in place. Fatih Pınar, a videographer who was in the region as part of the DANIDA-funded international grants program titled Objective, was one of the first journalists to document the havoc wrought by the special operations officer during those four days. He also talked with the heartbroken relatives of Helin Şen, a 12-year old who was shot and killed allegedly by special operations teams on her way to the bakery.
